Football Coaching & Preseason

Welcoming New Coaching Talent

The Saints are thrilled to welcome Rick Munn as our new senior coach. With his experience and leadership, we’re confident Rick will guide the team to new heights this season. Joining him are Luke Davidson and Jordan Drayton as senior assistant coaches, bringing fresh perspectives and expertise to the group.

On the development front, we’re pleased to welcome Luke Mulquinney and Dave Hawkins as our new development squad coaches. Their focus on nurturing emerging talent will be invaluable in building the club’s future.

Building a Strong Playing Group

It’s been a highly successful off-season, with over 20 new and returning players joining the Saints family. Combined with a strong rate of player retention, we’re shaping up to have a formidable squad ready to take on the competition.

Stepping Up Training and Conditioning

Our commitment to excellence continues with training now running three nights a week. We’re also excited to partner with P2 Performance to develop a strong strength and conditioning program, ensuring our players are in peak physical condition for the season ahead.

The energy and enthusiasm around the club are at an all-time high, and we can’t wait to see what we can achieve together in 2024. Let’s go, Saints!

Netball Coaching and Preseason

Season 2025 is destined to bring further strength and experience across all our grades, senior and junior. Building on the success of the under 19s team in 2024, and another year of strong performances from our young group.  St Albans Netball will show stability and growth.

Rebecca Henriksen returns to lead the A Grade team to the next step in their development. With a wealth of netball knowledge, and experience, she mentors and leads our coaching team with the tactical understanding and the technical skills it takes to coach at the top level. Bec has an enthusiasm for player development and success, and with the assistance of Warren Button, will motivate and inspire our players to reach their full potential in season 2025.

Grace Waterson joins Bec in the B Grade co-coaching role and as D Grade head coach; passionate and continuing to expand her coaching skills and techniques through leadership, training and new strategies using various netball resources. Grace is a wonderful organiser, motivator and an advocate for young people  and women in sport.

Our A Grade players, Amy Cook and Taliah Mullane, as role models and leaders of our club are ready to share their tactical skills and their dynamic spirit to further develop our C Grade players to reach their full potential.

Warren Button has an extensive and successful netball background as a player and as a coach at the representative level. He endeavours to take the Under 19s team deep into finals again with our aspiring team, preparing them for senior netball opportunities and transition.

The junior coaching cohort led by Rebecca Henriksen (17s div1, 15s div 1), is senior players; Taliah Mullane (13s div1) and Aisling McGrath (15s div 2) with further appointments to come after trials.

Our senior players, under 19s and under 17s will (like the football) be partnering with the P2 Strengthening and Conditioning Program to maximise our fitness, endurance and physical wellbeing to be well prepared and ready to perform at a high standard. This program will implemented in the new year and is to be maintained throughout the season.
