Health & Wellbeing Resources

At St Albans Football and Netball Club (STAFNC), we recognise that our club and your participation in our sporting codes improves your health in more ways than one and we recognise that our impact as a club extends beyond just the playing field.

We are committed to creating and sustaining a welcoming, family-friendly, and inclusive environment for all. We are dedicated to encouraging and upholding positive, respectful attitudes while cultivating a culture that prioritises health and wellbeing.

Going forward, STAFNC will focus on introducing policies, programs and practices that encompass the 9 key areas of health.

Champions

Our Health and Wellbeing Sub-Committee was established as a result of our involvement in the Respect Starts Here Program. We recognised the crucial role sporting clubs play in shaping mindsets and culture. The sub-committee is responsible for championing policies, programs and practices related to health and wellbeing, as outlined in this document.

The Health and Wellbeing committee collaborates closely with the general committee and STAFNC officials, including Co-Presidents Craig and Virginia. While the Sub-Committee serves as the champions and advocates for health and wellbeing at the club level, it is important to emphasise that ensuring a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment is a collective responsibility.

STAFNC ‘Champions’ in Health and Wellbeing for 2025 are made up of a network of people, ranging from parents, members who hold a Leadership role, coaches and players across sporting codes.
